The Luz Alliance Fund, created by Gisele in partnership with BrazilFoundation, is receiving donations to directly support Rio Grande do Sul flood victims. Making a donation through BrazilFoundation is a safe and effective way to make a difference. If you are donating from the U.S., you can also receive a tax exemption. How we are helping? The floods in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, have caused extensive destruction, affecting communities, infrastructure, and livelihoods. Heavy rainfall has resulted in rivers overflowing, inundating homes, roads, and farmland. Over a million people have been displaced, and many areas remain inaccessible due to floodwaters. Critical infrastructure, including bridges, roads, and power lines, has been damaged, disrupting transportation and communication networks. The Luz Alliance Fund is delivering critical aid to people in extreme vulnerability by supporting initiatives focused on various emergency fronts. A portion of the funds raised will be used to support reconstruction efforts in the region. About Luz Alliance Fund: Established in 2020 by Gisele Bündchen in partnership with BrazilFoundation, the Luz Alliance Fund initially supported communities during COVID-19. Since 2021, it has focused on environmental restoration. The Fund is currently on the front lines, providing resources for critical humanitarian aid to families devastated by the floods in Gisele Bündchen’s home state of Rio Grande do Sul.

So excited to take part in my 3rd annual ALC ride in 2024! Biking is fun - but biking for a cause is even MORE fun! AIDS/LifeCycle is a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles raising money for SF Aids Foundation and the LA LGBT center. It is also the nation's largest HIV/AIDS fundraising and advocacy event. I'm so excited to participate again and to do my part in supporting these organizations that do incredible work and raising awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We are raising monetary funds and hosting a donation drive to help support our local Richmond SPCA. The Richmond SPCA is a no-kill humane society that saves 4,000 dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies each year. In person donations will be accepted at our Richmond Office from June 24th through June 28th. Help Put Our Kids on the Path to Success: Donate to the Rabobank Scholarship! This Scholarship was endorsed by the NAET to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC ("BBBSNYC") students with essential expenses. Since 2018, the New York Markets team introduced a mentorship program with BBBSNYC, the nation's first and the city's largest youth mentoring organization. Rabobank staff have been serving as mentors (Bigs) to the high school students (Littles) through the BBBSNYC Workplace Mentoring Program. For the 2021 - 2022 year, Rabobank expanded its relationship with BBBSNYC by establishing the Rabobank Scholarship. During the first year of offering the Rabobank Scholarship, we raised over $17,000 for ten Littles! We hope with your help, we can re-create a positive impact for the senior students graduating this year — all of whom we have mentored since Sophomore year. You are eligible to receive matching funds for your donation, up to $ 500.00! The Rabobank Scholarship Fund campaign is open and live now until June 4, 2024. This is a great opportunity to support this campaign and alleviate the financial burdens students often experience, set the students on the path to success, and create a more inclusive society. "At least 149 people have died in the floods since they began last week, and 125 more are missing, local authorities said Friday. The number of people displaced from their homes because of the torrential rains has surpassed 600,000, of whom 80,000 are sheltering in gyms, schools and other temporary locations". (AP News on 12 May 2024) People affected by the floods need clean water, warm clothes, blankets, hygiene products, and food. Many lost their homes and are living in improvised shelters as their towns and neighborhoods were heavily damaged or completely lost.

Recent floods in Brazil have left over a million people without homes and access to clean drinking water. Our colleagues and portfolio companies are among those affected by this tragedy. Given this, we would like to highlight Central Unica da Favela, a non-profit organization that is leading the main efforts to raise relief funds. The London Sanctuary is a hound dog rescue in North Florida. They are a very dedicated to the dogs, working with a network of fosters, shelters, rescues, and vets to take as many abandoned and dumped hounds off the streets as possible. They provide medical attention and high quality care for even the most busted up pups that come through their doors. They are truly making a difference in the lives of the hounds of Florida, where there are all too many homeless and abandoned and abused.

In the spirit of AANHPI month, please join us in supporting the Asian American senior community in NYC! We're partnering with Heart of Dinner, a non-profit that delivers lunchboxes and fresh produce every Wednesday. Food insecurity, social isolation, and loneliness impact Asian American seniors who live in underinvested communities here in NY. Red Lotus NY is hosting a lunchbag/note decorating event to uplift the community and nourish not only their mental but also emotional well-being. Please consider donating to support them!

A series of severe tornadoes hit eastern Nebraska and western Iowa on April 26, 2024, resulting in extensive damage to several communities and at least five deaths. Homes, businesses, and infrastructure have been destroyed and relief efforts are currently underway. The selected nonprofit organizations have mobilized relief efforts across both states to provide food, water, shelter, and other necessary resources to help those impacted. Your donation to this Fund will help the following organizations provide immediate relief as well as support long-term recovery goals.

World Ovarian Cancer Day, recognized worldwide annually on May 8th, is a global campaign that highlights the importance of public knowledge surrounding ovarian cancer. The Global Cancer Observatory projects that ovarian cancer cases will rise over 55% by 2050, with an additional sharp increase in deaths from ovarian cancer, marking the disease as a global concern. The following nonprofit organizations are committed to the fight again ovarian cancer, utilizing education, cutting-edge research, medical innovation, and support for survivors and caregivers to collectively work towards a common goal of finding a cure.
