Since mid-June, Pakistan has been inundated with record levels of rainfall and flooding, affecting over 33 million people, and causing what Pakistan's Minister of Climate Change is calling the worst humanitarian disaster of this decade. Over 1500 people have died from severe rain and flooding across the country. According to the UN, over 660,000 people have been displaced to relief camps across the country. Pakistan's National Disaster Management Agency states that more than 1.8M homes, 12,700 kilometers of road, and 390 bridges have been destroyed. Cisco Foundation has launched a $500K Pakistan Floods disaster relief campaign to support the efforts of Helping Hand for Relief & Development, Hidaya Foundation, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, International Medical Corps, Islamic Relief Canada, Islamic Relief USA, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, and World Central Kitchen. Donations will be matched up to $10,000 per employee. Campaign donations will not be counted toward employees' annual $25,000 match limit. Note on Tax Deductibility: This fund includes U.S.- based organizations. U.S. employees who make a credit card donation will receive a receipt for tax deductibility for the portion of the donation contributed to these organizations. Employees outside the U.S. will not be able to receive a receipt for tax deductibility for credit card donations to organizations in this fund.

Hurricane Fiona made landfall on the southwestern coast of Puerto Rico on Sunday 9/18, with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph and rainfall totals exceeding 30" in many areas. The storm caused an island-wide power outage leaving more than 1 million customers in the dark; over 830K were without running water. Floods and landslides have caused catastrophic damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. Fiona then devastated the Dominican Republic with heavy rainfall and life-threatening flash flooding, and went on to make landfall in Canada on the morning of September 24 causing widespread flooding, travel disruptions, and damage to homes, buildings and infrastructure, with hundreds of thousands of people experiencing power outages. At least 19 people have died, including at least 16 in Puerto Rico. Cisco Foundation has launched a $50K Hurricane Fiona disaster campaign to support the efforts of Americares and World Central Kitchen. Donations will be matched up to $10,000 per employee.
