The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley (FBRGV) is passionately committed to improving lives through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services across the counties of Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy. FBRGV manages over 20 food relief and nutrition programs that advance the vision of ending hunger and supporting a healthy quality of life in the Rio Grande Valley. FBRGV also sources fresh produce and shelf-stable groceries to over 275 community organizations operating food programs and connects around 9,564 volunteers a year with opportunities to support their neighbors in need. In FY’25, FBRGV distributed 46 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 38+ million meals, to children, seniors, and working families.
