Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law

The Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Lawyers Committee) was founded in 1963 at the request of John F. Kennedy to mobilize the nations private bar to support the civil rights movement. Today, we continue to lead efforts to protect and expand civil rights across the country and secure equal justice for all through the rule of law, targeting in particular the inequities confronting Black people and other people of color. The Lawyers Committee is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, and we envision a nation where everyone has the voice, opportunity, and power to make the promises of our democracy real.

Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund

The Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), founded in 1974, is a national organization that protects and promotes the civil rights of Asian Americans. By combining litigation, advocacy, education and organizing, AALDEF works with Asian American communities across the country to secure human rights for all.

NAACP Empowerment Programs, Inc.

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. NAACP Empowerment Programs will engage primarily in training, education, and advocacy, and will continue to work closely with NAACP units in these endeavors. This realignment will help us speak with a more powerful political voice and channel our resources more efficiently.

American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, Inc.

Founded in 1920, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, multi-issue, 1.7 million member public interest organization devoted to protecting the civil liberties of all people in the United States. Recognized as the nation's premier public interest law firm, the ACLU works daily in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
